Tenderness and
Freed emotion,
Drifting in direction to find its fulfillment
An ageless pursuit
Not one but through many lifetimes
Here nor there
The “treasure” is never claimed
Like two way traffic on a one way street
Lost, and out of control
Never to find the way
Dead ends and detours
Delaying the ultimate arrival
Where is my exit
For these feelings I long to share
Believing this day will never arrive
Perhaps the only way
To truly end the journey
Is to veer from the road
Letting this pipe dream die
