A piece of me has been striped.
Friend, why did you have to leave?
When I found out I fliped.
It's been over 9 years and I still don't believe.
You left us with memories of excitement!
Your smile always warmed up the day.
Everytime we were down, you were our encouragment!
You always knew what to say.
We all grew close and became good friends.
We hung out and took care of each other.
Then April 29, 1997 came and it all came to an end,
now the rest of us sit here with your beautiful sunflower.
We all want to know.. When can we see you?
Please let it be soon.
Jennifer, we all love and miss you.
Please come back and smile soon.
*note*
one day I woke up thinking everything was a dream still.. more like a nightmare. My father took my dog away from me, I was running late for school, and worst of all the news. When I got to the bus stop everyone was asking me "Larry, are you all right? Are you fine? Talk to me and tell me?" I didn't know what was goin on and explaind to them that I didn't have time to watch the news that morning. They then begin to sit me down and tell me that one of my best friends was just on the news. They told me that she had been raped and killed by an 18 year old senior in our school the night before. This poem was written to her because her birthday is comming up here in a few, Oct. 13 1984. SHE WAS ONLY 12 FUCKING YEARS OLD YOU SICK BASTARD ASS FUCK!! 12 FUCKING YEARS OLD!!
(note to Jennifer)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFER. I can't wait until I get to see your smile again and hang out. The whole crew misses you alot. We don't hardly ever talk anymore but when we do we still cry together and talk about you. It's hard, realy hard, without you here. Please tell me that I am still dreaming and wake me up. I still wait for your phone calls like old time when you would call to find out what movie we were all going to see or if we are going to just hang at the mall. Please come back to us. Ashley, Terri, Marie, Tonya, You, and Me can hang out like old times. Please at least send me a sign to let me know that you are alright. We still love you. Well, can't stop crying now so I will stop now. Love you Jennifer,
Larry
