winter kept us warm
as we walked
surreal through the streets
never our dream
but those of others
as we waited for spring
forgetting
cold songs around us
warm faces
can never possibly compare to our cold
the cold kept us apart
just as it brought us together

Solemn, aches my heart in the most forbidden fashion. I know this. The bitter ways of winter. Its despair, its overwhelming beauty that seems.. almost deceptive. Thank you for this.
