freefall uncertainty and overexposure

everything is dirty and grey and transparant yet unclear

reflections reveal less

confuse

add life to lifeless

change the image and meaning

~#~

would it still be art if no-one was there to consume it?

~#~

eyes have faded

it is draining away

scattered images flicker and repeat

scattered thoughts no longer command attention

~#~

it is a mangled world now

disconnected fragments contain meaning only for themselves

we force pieces together like a faulty jigsaw puzzle

there is no satisfaction...

only exhaustion and capitulation

~#~

in this fake misshapen world we imagine we are kings

~#~

time is ticking away but we have forgotten how to count

monkeys have more sense of personal direction

the map guiding us to a better life was being held upside-down

we are lost yet somehow loving it

the light at the tunnel's end is a gaudy neon sign pointing to the red-light district

effigies of salvation have been buried under the weight of centuries of bird shit

everything is corroding, rotting, crumbling...

it is known as progress

~#~

the sun is no longer a symbol of life, but death

we cower and scurry from it like bugs beneath rocks and rotting logs

~#~

every musical instrument in the world clamours for attention

the cacophany has sent us deaf and insane

there is no harmony left

there is no...

~#~

one day all that will be left of industry are rusty shells and rubbish dumps

this day was yesterday

tomorrow will be no better

~#~

patches

patches and incomplete puzzles

patches and incomplete puzzles and tattered idols

patches and incomplete puzzles and tattered idols and broken hands

~#~

love should be simple but there are too many colours and not enough words

every time i look towards the light i am reminded of my blindness

~#~

it is terrible
the shame of it
that we never realised the plumbing had all gone bad

there is mess everywhere now

mess and madness and incurable disease

we are being eaten from the inside-out

~#~

the mechanical beast that carries us along has evolved beyond our control

humans no longer sit atop the food chain

the creature that does is giant
with a metallic exoskeleton
acid for blood
and lead exploding outwards in all directions

~#~

we are no longer in control

the guns we point at others are also aimed at ourselves

we're on a stairway to hell

only

it's an escalator...

we're too lazy to walk
