I don't know what I was thinking,
but I knew what I was thinking then.
I wish I could reach back,
and take those feelings,
and bring them into the present,
into my mind,
because eloquence
is hard to find,
but back then it was easy.

I don't know what I am doing,
but I knew what I was doing then.
I wish I could reach back,
and take those actions, those motives,
and bring them into the present,
into my being,
because I'm struggling now,
but back then it was easy.

We don't have eyes in
the back of our heads,
but hindsight is 20-20.

We look where we are going,
but we don't see anything.

Tread lightly,
and walk backwards.
