I run my finger over the engraving
On the simple silver band
The silver band you put on my pinky
When you first saw me getting off the plane
I was tired and haggard
and you wrapped your arms around me
lifted me to you
kissed me gently
and slipped the ring on my finger
that seemed like forever ago
and now we lie together in our bed
we fit together
your arms wrapped around me
one under my neck
the other draipped just under my chest
your arms like the ring
snug but comfertable
perfect
Our legs interwined
your breathing deep and slow with sleep
while I lay here
in your arms
stroking the words on a simple silver ring
Fear Not
And as long as I can wake
in the middle of the night with your arms around me
I wont fear
As long as I have your strength wrapped around me
like the ring wrapped around my finger
I will know no fear
Fear Not
