People ask me "What's happened to you?"
All I can say is life.
Life changed me in so many ways
Ways that I don't even like.

Then again I can say people too
Because for the ones that hurt me
For the ones that never saw me
This is why me heart aches true.

I was always there to protect
To advice
To lead
And to help
But what does it matter
Because none of that was for me.

Now when I try to help myself
I am left with my reminders
Of the times they never listened
Of the times they always left.

My scars are what has happened to me
And they will never go away
For even if they did there are always more to come
So even now I ask MYSELF
"What has happened to ME?"
