Drink from the pool of sorrow.
Searing pain stems from this liquid obsession.
But I live another day for just one more taste.
Can you cure my tragedy?
Footsteps of my concrete shadow,
Hollow and unending,
Soullessly crawling without purpose.
Chaos echoing mindlessly through these thoughts.
This is my reflection, my rejection, my sadness.
Searching for footsteps,
Following whispers,
I reach out to touch,
But it's not really there.
Driving blind,
Misdirected and out of control.
Numb your being with chemical remedy.
These are the stitches that leaves deep scars.
Greed and destruction form an eternal contract,
Deny your signature and patiently await.
Swear we will do it right this time,
Beg for forgiveness,
Pray for a safe return.
The Earth wept,
And the people laughed.
What will you do?
When it's your turn to burn!

This is pretty good, the second half is stronger. The "chemical remedy" line stands out

Very reminiscent of an existential dilemma lost in slew of hidden expierences. In other words, I adore your message but feel little empathy towards your struggle.
