Awake in night’s dark hours
Insomnium, another sleepless night
Alone I weep, biting cold darkness
Frozen in time, my only time I was
You, you are all my hope shattered
I lay down and pray for dreamless, pictureless rest
But it stands at bay, it always does
So, with nothing but sorrow filled thoughts
I reflect on this burden I carry
Recalling, moments of anxious anticipation

The red car so similar in shape, in color
I hope to catch a glimpse of
You, you are not the driver
Intoxicating scent, known all so well
Passes by
I hope to see
You, you are not the woman in my sight
Laughter in blissful delight
So familiar
I search to find
You, you aren’t there
The phone rings, once, twice
In impossibility, hoping, I answer to hear
You, it’s never you
My soul wound needs comfort
It used to be
You, you would save me from all sorrow

Recalling, devastated by realization
You are so far away, and this will never change
I roll over to find your sweet embrace
This tear soaked pillow takes your place
If sleep may come, I will be awoken with a kiss
But no, never again, only the sour taste of loneliness now
Again, I recall, that burning image in my mind
I saw your picture
You, you and my replacement
It causes my heart to grow ever colder
My soul dies a little more each time I recall

Days pass and minutes fade
Every moment I wish
Yet, I remain frozen in a time
In a time I was happy
My time with my love
The choice was yours
The pain now mine
Now, only sadness my comfort
Heartache, disbelief, wishing this was only a nightmare
You will never know, never understand
Just how much you meant, mean to me
And to you
I Am Nothing!

I am utterly speechless. This is the polaroid capture of my recent status. These were things I could never put into thought, because I didn't want to. But you did, perfectly.
