Thunder shakesthe windows and the walls.
The Gods are angry and seeking vengence.
The night is wild and full of fear.
You tremble, terrified because you know what you have done.
I gave you my heart willingly and unbidden.
But when you took it you held a double-edged blade behind your back.
Little did I know that that blade was to reside in my still beating heart.
How could you?
All I ever asked you for was your love.
The earth feels my pain.
The water drenched with the salt from my tears.
The air full of my screams.
But it's the fire that moves me,
Fire that's consumed me.
Fire that will consume you.
No apologies necessary.
Just your heart for mine.
