The snowflakes grace her face with their presence as she numbly walks home. Her feet are wet, but she hasn’t noticed yet, her clothes are soaked and she seems void of hope. The memories, cascading back, betray her and show the self-esteem she lacks. She pushed them away for so long, convinced herself it would do no harm. As the thoughts come back, memories and feelings too, she starts to sink and see all she’s worked towards unglue. That voice that lingers in the back of her head-“you can’t do it, you aren’t good enough, it doesn’t matter what you do, you’ll always disappoint” grows inside her as she silently drifts away.
Suddenly she realizes, there’s something different now. Suddenly she realizes, her eyes don’t have to point down. Family and friends, this time they’ll be around, this time, there is an alarm she can sound.
Her eyes don’t have to point down.

Nice, if you truly believe that you have come a long way! That’s so good! I hope you can continue to believe in yourself because we believe in you.
