As I watch the shadows flutter across the room...
I’m gripped by a thought.
Maybe a feeling.
But who knows....I haven’t felt in so long.
Consuming as it is…I allow my self to hope.
Praying for a change....but he doesn’t come.
Another night....alone.
The fire on my face, trying to get warm.
But the warmth never comes.
Desolate and lonely, forever destined to be.
But don’t tell me, I’ll catch on in my own time.
Kind of like the tears.
Slowly and calmly as if they have a reason to exist, if only for a brief moment, until wiped away by an even colder hand, they glide.
They glide along this icy cheek after slipping free of these hollow eyes.
Simply to freeze as they reach my purple lips.
If they even make it that far, before they are wiped from existence by a hand that has been trying to get warm for too long, trying to feel for too long, and wanting to be held for....
too long.
All I ask is that you lie to me and tell me it will all be okay....
Tell me it will all be better soon.....
And tell me that you care.....

But you won’t ever be here.....
And those things I shall never hear.

Images images images. Then the feeling that I kinda read this the way I wanted it to be read. Left enough room for the reader, for it to be somewhat familiar to most

I won't tell you anything my dear...except that I am really impressed with how your writing has grown. This piece is a heart-stopper...absolutely amazing. Chin up though; not because it will be better but because we are more beautiful when we smile. ~L
