Tears, all swelled up inside.
Like I'm trying to hide,
From the weakness they provide.
Waiting for all feelings to subside.

They say tears show weakness,
But then no one is strong.
That's got to be an oxy-moron.

Who are "they?"
What gives "them" power to say?
Questions people ask me every day.

"They" are the people I care most about.
"They are the people who make me shout.
"They" are the people who pass the blame.
Don't care who they hurt-just want their fame.

Tears, all swelled up inside.
Like I'm trying to hide,
From the weakness they provide.
Waiting for all feelings to subside.

I lock up all my emotions,
Try to lose the key.
Make me numb to my feelings,
Oh, how eagerly I plea.

Now I wait for my damn of water to explode.
But I wish it would implode.
Loosen my hold on my feelings of old.
The water my damn tries to hold,
Are my emotions mixed like a garden recently hoed.

I have to let my tears free.
But I'm afraid of what they'll do to me.
